Glycerine is an organic compound from the group of sugar alcohols. It is used in various industries, e.g. in the food industry, cosmetics or medicine.
Various purification steps are carried out to produce pharmaceutical grade glycerine (purity 99.5%). Among other things, the existing solids (MONG) are separated from the glycerine.
The SHORTBOWL decanter centrifuges from SIEBTECHNIK TEMA are used particularly successfully in the production of glycerine in pharmaceutical quality because they are particularly advantageous for solid / liquid separation in a hot suspension stream.
