The result is a dewatered product in a belt transportable state and thus prepared for further use. The remaining residual moisture has been significantly reduced, but one cannot speak of a completely dry material.

A conspicuous feature of dewatering screening machines is the area of dewatering screen linings that rises from the feed to the discharge. The solid material in the feed suspension is transported «uphill», compacted and discharged as a «cake».
